Rules

>>Time Structure and Setting<<This is a real-time game, so 1 in-game day is equal to 1 real-life day. Backdating is allowed, but not in excess. Threads that take place before the game are also welcomed. As for setting, the game mainly takes place in Cardiff, but if your characters are a part of teams that aren't in Cardiff or if your thread takes place elsewhere, just make sure that is apparent in the thread.

>>God-modding and Meta-gaming<<GOD-MODDING AND META-GAMING IS NOT ALLOWED!!! God-modding is performing actions of other characters (not your own) and meta-gaming is knowing information that hasn't been told to your character. The only way you can get away with this is if you have the approval of the character you are attempting to control. You will get a warning, but if it happens too ofter, you will be kicked out.

>>Literacy<<Spelling and grammar should be as best as you can possibly be. Typos and whatnot are forgivable, but we need to be able to read and understand your posts. We're looking for a paragraph at minimum, but 2+ are what we really want. This is not to say your lovely mods are perfect, because we mess up a lot too, so don't worry too much. We do understand the concept of writer's block.

>>Activity<< We understand that a lot of people have real lives that they need to worry about, but we ask that you at least comment or post once every two weeks. If you are inactive for more than two weeks, we will send you a note, and if you don't respond to that for a week, you will be kicked out. We appreciate knowing when you won't be active, and the mods will inform you when they are busy as well. Real life > the Game.

>>Age Restrictions<< As for out of character, we require all players to be 17 or older, because mature content may come into play. In character, we ask that no character under 21 can be a member of Torchwood, unless you have permission from the mods. Keep this in mind when you create a character.

>>Sexuality & Relationships<< Homo- and bisexual characters are allowed, but not in excess. Not everyone is from the 51st Century like Jack and today the world is still mainly heterosexual. As for relationships, we encourage them, but this isn't really a relationship-based game. As for smut, it's allowed, but put a cut and warning on the post, or take it to PMs.

>>Regarding Major Plot Changes<< Major plot points (i.e. pregnancy, death, long-term illness, etc.) must be approved by mods and whomever else the changes occur with. If you are unsure about whether your idea will be a major plot change, don't hesitate to ask.

>>Played-Bys<< Please try and keep the actors/actresses for canon characters the same. We would like actual people, not comics or cartoons and the like. Also, try and make the PB look like your character (as in age). We'll, of course, make exceptions if you are convincing enough.

>>Characters and Limits<< There is a character limit of 3 characters per person (four if we feel you can handle it). We ask that you wait at least a week before creating a second character, just to make sure you can handle one. Then you must wait two weeks before requesting a third. Exceptions will be made where we see fit (especially if we lack characters). Try and vary the types of characters if possible (as in gender, affiliation, etc.). You may only have two canon characters. This game is pretty much open to any Torchwood/Doctor Who character and OCs. Even if people died in the shows, they can still be here because of the rift. Other forms of the Doctor are welcome. Any AU versions of characters already in play need to have permission from the Mods to play. There is a maximum of 2 version of a character or certain doctor, just to keep the confusion down.

>>Posting & User Info Rules<<All roleplay threads will be posted in the main community (

everat_theready), ooc will be in the ooc community (

ever_ready_ooc) and any graphics relating to the game will be posted in the graphics community (

ever_ready_art). Any journal entries will be in the characters' own journals (but we don't require journal entries). Please make sure everything in the main and ooc journals are FRIENDS-LOCKED.

All entries in the main forums should start be formatted with this:

User Infos should either have a link to your profile in them, or the profile itself. Meaning, somewhere in your journal you should have your profiles posted for reference.
Oh, and be sure to check the Friend All button on occasion so you can befriend the new players!

>>Miscellaneous<< -Spoilers must go behind a cut in the OOC community
-No bashing, attacking, etc. members or the mods
-No bringing IC drama into OOC...because that's just stupid, you are not your character.
-No double posting; edit/repost if necessary
-DO NOT LINK IMAGES FROM THIS GROUP! It sucks up our bandwith and anyone else's who posts graphics
-It is recommended that you have an AIM screenname, as we enjoy having group chats to discuss plots and whatnot
